 Best In Self Defense

Thank you for visiting MaxDefense, your leading authority in reality-based self defense! Our goal is to put you ahead of the curve in protecting yourself. The first way we do this is through our unique training. We have developed a system that sits at the apex in reality based self defense. This system teaches you how to utilize the powerful effects of adrenaline to end a violent attack in a devastating manor.

In MaxDefense, you will learn in just a few hours how anyone can back down over 85% of all aggressors without any physical force at all! And if the worst case scenario arises, how to use adrenaline and fear as the great equalizers, which can allow you to successfully defend yourself against larger and stronger aggressors! In fact, you can understand and start utilizing our basic core system within the first seminar or class you experience with us. Our instructors will teach you a cutting edge curriculum that covers pre-contact psychology, fear management, and explosive techniques, which were created to end an attack quickly with maximum effectiveness and efficiency.

We encourage you to come and be a part of something that is life-changing. Expect the very best in life but be prepared for the unexpected.

Team MaxDefense

First Step In Self Defense

Fight, Flight or Freeze

When a predator attacks, your body typically goes into an adrenal state. You are flooded with adrenaline (epinephrine), noradrenaline and cortisol. The good news is these chemicals perform several positive actions in the body that make them very effective. They dilate the pupils to increase the amount of light that enters the eyes, cause sweating to help dissipate heat, increase blood flow to the muscles, increase the heart rate and force of contraction, and make glucose available in the blood for use by other organs. Despite our bodies best effort without proper training a surge of these chemicals can cause the body to freeze.

 Fighting Through The Freeze

When adrenaline and emotions spin out of control, the mind freezes and it is impossible to perform complicated movements such as kicks, strikes and grappling throws taught in most martial art and karate schools. Violent attacks are over within seconds and you have to act quickly with instinctive principles and techniques. You can not afford to freeze, your most valuable asset, your life, is at stake.

The building blocks at MaxDefense are movements that are based on engaging gross motor skills under duress. From that basis we build on our more detailed system that gives you the very best in self defense! It is very simple: competence breeds confidence, so it makes sense that the more confident you are in defending yourself, the less you will be affected by stress.

What The F.B.I. Says About Self Defense

"It is extremely difficult to control one's biological, psychological, and emotional reactions to life and death circumstances. But it is even more difficult to do so without adequate, realistic, and prior training--along with proper mental and physical preparation. Training often determines which persons survive and which ones suffer injury or death. Training that is realistic, repetitive, understandable, and believable potentially reduces the non-adaptive effects of [human behavior]. In preparing for a highly-charged emotional event, effective and realistic training can reduce its intensity (levels of arousal), allowing higher cognitive functioning to prevail." - Violent Encounters (U.S. Dept. of Justice; 2006)

The Self Defense Answer

We know this, self-defense is not a complicated mathematical equation and virtually anyone can learn to take care of themselves. MaxDefense was created to be a "street effective" self defense system which starts with relevant training, practical application and good technique.

There is an imperative need for good self-defense training as our society becomes more stressed and violent, and these skills translate into other walks of life where any sort of confrontation exists. Graduates of our courses report again and again how empowered they feel at work home and play in virtually every facet of their lives after taking one of our short courses. Take the time today and invest in yourself, your family, and your future! Contact us now to schedule your seminar! If you share the same opinion that we do and you believe that violence has no place in our communities, be an ambassador with us and share this page with friends and family!
